Ten senate Democrats capitulated to Trump and Musk's illegal seizure of the power of the purse:

• Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin
• Senate Democratic Chief Deputy Whip Brian Schatz
• Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, the chair of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee
• Sen. Maggie Hassan
• Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto
• Sen. John Fetterman
• Sen. Gary Peters
• Sen. Jeanne Shaheen
• Sen. Angus King

By voting for cloture, these Democrats surrendered the party's only possible leverage for curtailing the DOGE regime. Musk has asserted the right to personally veto any spending duly appropriated by congress, creating an ongoing and alarming constitutional crisis. These Democrats are fine with this, and should be replaced as soon as possible.

This vote for Kristi Noem is an indicator of this senator's poor judgment and lack of commitment to the constitution and protecting Americans' civil rights.

Since her confirmation, Noem has kidnapped legal U.S. residents and shipped them off to extra-judicial concentration camps, deported U.S. citizens without due process, and routinely slandered both U.S. citizens and legal residents, alleging criminal activity despite an absence of evidence.
